Visual Exploration

As you have not participated in the Visual Exploration phase yourself, the BOSS simulation provides you with the transcript of the conversation that takes place when the Executive Team meets after having individually conducted their Visual Exploration of the market.  You will have access to this document in the “VISUAL EXPLORATION” section which becomes available at the commencement of Round Blue-1.

It should take you a good hour or two to debate and understand what the Visual Exploration is telling you in terms of how you can reconstruct market boundaries to break out of the current industry Strategy Canvas and create a Blue Ocean.

The three Paths illuminate three types of noncustomers. Path 3 represents the biggest volume potential of a 31% growth in the market.  Path 1 represents the second biggest volume potential at 24% and Path 5, 18%.  In term of the age of these noncustomers, the Executive Team has done the estimation below:
