Sophistication of Gaming Experience (Console Power)

This competing factor relates to the power of the gaming console and the sophistication of the computer chip which processes the information.  The superior power of the console enables more rapid processing of digital images which can thus appear more lifelike and real.

Level 1 is the equivalent of mid-Year 20’s technology and level 2 is late Year 20’s/early Year 30’s, still capable of playing most games in circulation.

Level 3 technology has been around for about 5 years.

Level 4, rather than level 3, is the average for the latest offerings by the industry.  It is beyond market expectations for the present since the games themselves have not quite caught up with the power of the gaming consoles.

Level 5 represents another leap in processing power which well-known industry experts are touting as the future of the industry.
